Just opened up a new Yahoo email address but can't add my contacts, keep getting that error code: -7 ?
No, but I thought I would let you know you are not the only one getting that error. About 2 weeks ago, there were also a bunch of posts about the same problem. It might be a periodic maintenance problem but it sure is aggravating!
Reply:Update: Maybe Yahoo has now concluded fixing the problem. Try adding addresses to your contact book.


But if you still get an error code 7 try switching back to mail classic [top to the left of mail page] . Than switch back to the new Yahoo mail. Worked for me. See source below.





There seems to be a wide spread problem with both yahoo mail and sbcglobal.net mail accounts [sbcglobal partners with yahoo] for about 3 days now. Run search in yahoo answers and you'll find a flood of post with no answer outside of maybe Yahoo is running maintenance. I clicked on postings of this question by 20 plus people in search and that appears to be the answer. .


I sent the question to yahoo's tech people. Hopefully get an answer there but the problem appears to be yahoo's, not your computer. So sit tight, cussing a little may be OK, LOL, and wait to see if yahoo resolves this issue.


In Yahoo mail, click options, click mail options, click contact options.

Been a long, long 60 minutes.
