The email is asking for user name, password, date of birth and country. That information must be sent back or it claims that they will close my account! Is this for real? Did anyone else receive this email?

It's a scam. Yahoo! would never request personal information in an unsolicited email. "Phishing" for your private information These deceptive emails are used to commit identity theft, and lock you out of your yahoo account by changing your password DO NOT respond. Reply:Scam!!!! That's a phishing email. Don't reply to the message and give out your personal information to total strangers or you'll risk losing your account to them. Remember that Y! doesn't send unsolicited emails to all its users, as the company already has that stored in its well-secured servers. Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on.
After that, spam it straight into oblivion without delay.
