I would like to delete my yahoo email address and set up a new one, but keep all other info?

I've had my yahoo account for way too long and get way too much junk. I like yahoo, but stopped using the email fora few year for this reason. I'd like to start afresh with a new email id, but keep my access to my.yahoo, groups and all my other content, is this possible?

You have a couple of options:





Create an alias that you use http://edit.yahoo.com/config/list_alias?... that will be another e-mail address for basically the same account.





Since you can't "delete" a Yahoo account, I would suggest that you create another e-mail address that you want to use. Then log into the Yahoo groups and edit your membership information. Add a new e-mail address to the group information for your login and then tell the group to use that new address to send messages to. Then you can simply log in that way %26amp; have your group information going to the new address and forget about the abused one.





Personally, I set up a lot more filters to get rid of the junk mail and after 10+ years I still get few SPAM.
