It wanted to know how I paid so that they could refund my money. I have not purchased any yahoo briefcase. It also said that unless I download my files they will be deleted. I think this is a scam, does anyone else?

The basic briefcase is a free service. It could be a scam. Was the email addressed to you by first and last name? If no then it is a scam. Did they ask for personal information? If yes it is a scam. AT%26amp;T Yahoo already has your personal info.
Reply:I received the same email -- I'm inclined to think it's a scam because when you go to the site, although it looks legitimate, it asks you to register. Very strange and not within the norm of usual conduct.
However, see the link below, which seems to say that the statement is true, and that Yahoo announced such closure. But, I also don't recall ever using, let alone paying for Yahoo Briefcase services.
