I'm on Windows XP using Firefox 2.0.0.2. All other types of attachments get to the recipient just fine but Excel never does. It attaches but after the email is sent, I see that my Sent folder shows the attachment as plain text. It's garbled nonsense when the recipient tries to see it.
Zipping the file gets it there just fine. Any ideas? This does not happen in IE.
Why do Excel attachments not go through properly in Yahoo Email when using Firefox?
I also have XP and use FireFox and have had problems with some programs that only will go through with Internet Explorer. Don't know why but that's just the way it is. So I keep both on my desk top.
Reply:Your anti-virus utility might be at work. Office files are known security risks btw. Attachment should be zipped, be green and save bandwidth whenever possible.
Reply:I use Firefox all the time and have never had such a problem. Maybe your version of Excel is too old. Mine is Office 2000.
