Possible to get a virus, just staying in Yahoo A, email with other users in that little box they provide?

I have not downloaded anything, been very careful not to, this is not my computer, and a few days ago, I got a warning sign, that this Ip address is in conflict with another one, and now there are all kinds of flashing lights, Security Breach, and it got the address of the person who tried to steal files of the computer!


Q is ? Safe to stay on the computer?


I think the owner told me that they have a super anti virus system,!

Reply:The pop-up that you saw is either a scam or the warning that someone tried to get into the system and the currently installed applications detected and prevented it. I believe that it would be best to disconnect this computer from the internet entirely for a little while to prevent someone from trying to gain further access to it.
Reply:Anti-virus programs won't defend against hackers, that's where a firewall comes in.





Internet attacks can happen ANYWHERE. You just have to stay sharp, and keep all of your security programs updated and on at all times.
Reply:That sounds like spyware, try superantispyware or spybot. spybot is totally free and the other has a free version. Download and do a scan after updating. Good luck
