I don't think you can delete it right away it just has to be inactive for a certain amount of time.

To give you a service in better way for always your account and details stay with the server. Like, if you have given your email address to your loved ones for which you are so conservative even that you don't want to give out their email addresses to some one else, and you delete your account some day and your that loved one sends you email on that email address, at that time some body else might have taken that email address on his/her name, so what will you do, your loved one will be having a communication at that email address assuming you.





Thats, why Yahoo! or Hotmail and even Gmail do not have that feature, rather I would say draw back.
