Firefox uses your system default e-mail application. Yahoo mail is web-based; therefore, it does not have an application associated with its use. This means that Firefox cannot use Yahoo as the default e-mail application.
Reply:I am pretty sure that Firefox can only use the SMTP server defined on your mail program. I've noticed that IE seems to have the option to use some web sites but I don't think Firefox can.
