Was this email from yahoo directly or not?
I received an email from yahoo requesting me to update my account or have my email account closed. should I?
NO I have had yahoo for a long time and never had anything like that happen it's a scam

Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on.
After that, spam it straight into oblivion without delay.
