After opening an email, cursor is back up in the search box rather than in the body of the email. Open another email, and I find the cursor back up in that darn search window again. I don't know how or why it started to do that, but it drives me nuts.

Instead of "attaching" a photo I want to copy into the body of the email. My aunt has one of those things thay just receives emails - she can't send. The system doesn't convert an attached thumbnail into an easily visible photo.

How do I send a notification of changed email address through Yahoo mail?
Click on the To: box and it will bring up all your contacts. Highlight them all by right clicking on the first contact and while holding in the right button, drag your mouse down through all your contacts (it should highlight all in blue)....once you have added....compose your email telling everyone your email address has changed. You can ask for a receipt notification (so you will know who has read it).

I got a message in my Bulk mail box that I couldn't send certain messages out because my box was full. To satisfy my curiousity, I clicked on the message only to find I didn't even recognize what it was about. I realized there must be another char305@yahoo.com. also, the other day I got an offer from a mortgage company to refinance my home at 729 Buttercup Lane in Slippery Rock, PA. I established an email ID for a non-profit role I played for the last 18 months. I will be transferring responsibility to someone else shortly and would like to give him the email account also. Can I do this? If so, then how?

Just give them your login/password information and they can easily take it over. If they change the password, then your ties to the account will certainly be gone. They'll probably want to change other personal details in the account as well.

The email address belonging to nivadexy@yahoo.com is a scam. Basically it appears as a young beautiful russian girl is planning an upcoming trip to the U.S. and wants to meet a single guy. After 3 or 4 emails they then ask you to send money to cover the flight. I have been told the user of this email address gets the names from americansingles.com.

Why do I always get invitations to different Yahoo groups in my email? I only use Yahoo for answers?
The only thing I use Yahoo for is Yahoo Answers but I get all kinds of invitations to join various Yahoo groups in my email that is linked up with my Y!A account. I also have my settings set to "no emails" and "no messages" from Yahoo Answerers.

Why do Excel attachments not go through properly in Yahoo Email when using Firefox?
I'm on Windows XP using Firefox 2.0.0.2. All other types of attachments get to the recipient just fine but Excel never does. It attaches but after the email is sent, I see that my Sent folder shows the attachment as plain text. It's garbled nonsense when the recipient tries to see it.
Zipping the file gets it there just fine. Any ideas? This does not happen in IE.

How to send MS office files from within the program itself using yahoo email instead of Outlook ?
eg. email a Word file from within the Word program without going to Yahoo mail and attach that file......

I tried to do this before I responded. It seems that when using MS Office it automatically defaults to Outlook. This is because Outlook is the only e-mail program built into Office itself. However you can change your default e-mail program by going to Control Panel. Select Internet Options. Click the programs tab and under e-mail select Yahoo Mail. Once you save the file you can then right click the file and select E-Mail with Yahoo. This is the only solution I can come up with.
I hope this helps some although I know it is not exactly what you are looking for.

When I try to read my email in Yahoo Beta, I get a really long error message. I can read it when I switch back to Yahoo Classic though. I have already cleared out the cookies, Temp files and history, but nada. Any ideas?

Best ask Yahoo - go to Help on your mail page, click 'send feed back from the menu and send them a message describing your problem.

Reply:You can't except by not using it. If you don't log into it at all for a while Yahoo will cancel it automatically. Can't remember how long but it's more than a couple of months.

When i try to send yahoo email by inesrting addresses from the address book, I am taken back to the home page?
I cannot send email from the yahoo address book.

There are two different formats for address book. The first one you open when you click on the Addresses" tab is for editing.
The other one opens when you click in the "TO" field "of a message box. This is the one you check boxes next to the names you want to send to, go to the top of the list and click on "Insert Checked Contacts."

"unsubscribe" to each one in turn, make sure you give them all your personal information, that should do the trick......
