I've been using Yahoo Mail for a few years already, but recently I discover that some the emails that I'm sending out have been automatically modified. Some of the words in my outgoing message were changed to the word "filtered". Can anybody tell me how can I deal with this? Is this some kind of virus or just a built-in mechanism by Yahoo? I would like to Yahoo to send out my outgoing message unmodified if possible.
Why is it that when I send an email using Yahoo mail, some of the words are changed to "filtered"?
It sounds like some kind of parental filter might have been turned on. For example, are you using words like **** or *** pirate?

Why doesn't the Yahoo email sign-in page have my "sign-in seal"?
Weeks ago I created a sign-in seal - an image and brief text - for the Yahoo Mail sign-in page.
But now I have found that the sign-in page does not display the seal, and there is nothing on that page to tell me how to create this seal.
Does this mean the sign-in page I see is fraudulent? If so, what is the best way of getting back to an authentic sign-in page?

There could be an email server down in your area. This usually gets fixed quickly but you might need to contact Customer Care. Be prepare to tell them where you are and your internet provider:

If its an attachment, download it to ur computer or save it to ur yahoo briefcase and (after it gets downloaded to ur computer or if saved in yahoo briefcase, go to ur yahoo briefcase) and right click it and choose the option 'rename' and type out the name u want to give it.

No, but I thought I would let you know you are not the only one getting that error. About 2 weeks ago, there were also a bunch of posts about the same problem. It might be a periodic maintenance problem but it sure is aggravating!

But if you still get an error code 7 try switching back to mail classic [top to the left of mail page] . Than switch back to the new Yahoo mail. Worked for me. See source below.

Run search in yahoo answers and you'll find a flood of post with no answer outside of maybe Yahoo is running maintenance. I clicked on postings of this question by 20 plus people in search and that appears to be the answer. .
I sent the question to yahoo's tech people. Hopefully get an answer there but the problem appears to be yahoo's, not your computer. So sit tight, cussing a little may be OK, LOL, and wait to see if yahoo resolves this issue.

What justice can be done about someone who broke into my Yahoo email accnt; deleted over 1,100 email, password
A man from Canada, who did admit to me his illegal break into my YAHOO email account, deleted over 1,100 emails. He also deleted my password. It was done sometime between July 15 - 17th. On the 18th I reported this to AT%26amp;T and Yahoo. After spending a long time on the phone with both I finally got to reset my password for my very old Yahoo email account. This is a precious email account. I have reported this abuse 3 times to yahoo only to get automated answers. I need a real case worker on this one. I will not allow someone to infringe on my rights and breach my Yahoo security of my account. It is not right and I need to know who can help me track this individual who did this to me? Does anyone have an answer for me? Or is this really a waste of my time? Any help would be appreciated.

you dont need to pay for it, you can get it free by selecting Yahoo! Delivers - this sets your yahoo account to work for POP3 forwarding.
If you go to you Yahoo mail main page, click Options on the far right, then click POP Access and Forwarding. Choose the appropriate options there, then click View POP Settings, and use this info to setup your outlook account - i presume you know how to do this.

It isnt illegal as stated on their website. it just automatically logs in to yahoo and downloads your e-mail to your computer.

Reply:You can't - yahoo recommends Outlook Express. People always seem to get confuse between Outlook Express %26amp; Microsoft Outlook - there are two different types of programs.

Reply:You have to pay for Yahoo to export mail to microsoft outlook or Outlook express. If you are computer savy, then google ypops a free but complicated way to export yahoo mail to Outlook Express. It isnt illegal as stated on their website. it just automatically logs in to yahoo and downloads your e-mail to your computer.

No, but I thought I would let you know you are not the only one getting that error. About 2 weeks ago, there were also a bunch of posts about the same problem. It might be a periodic maintenance problem but it sure is aggravating!

But if you still get an error code 7 try switching back to mail classic [top to the left of mail page] . Than switch back to the new Yahoo mail. Worked for me. See source below.

Run search in yahoo answers and you'll find a flood of post with no answer outside of maybe Yahoo is running maintenance. I clicked on postings of this question by 20 plus people in search and that appears to be the answer. .
I sent the question to yahoo's tech people. Hopefully get an answer there but the problem appears to be yahoo's, not your computer. So sit tight, cussing a little may be OK, LOL, and wait to see if yahoo resolves this issue.

Apparently Yahoo is updating all mail accounts, during the past couple of weeks users had problems with their private accounts, now users with business acounts are complaining. Here is what I suggested for private accounts - it helped in many instancies and will hopefully also work in your case:
A possible intermediate solution: log in, when it says "URL can't be found" go back to yahoo without logging out. Then click the mail button on top right. Any new messages should drop down. Right click on a message and select "open in new window".
In case this doesn't work either:

In case your problem isn't resolved right away go to the link below. It is a site which lets you work with some basic mail functions.

i think what its saying is that your inbox is still loading messages and it wont let you delete them until they are all fully loaded.
Scroll down to the bottom until you can see them all fully loaded (titles and subjects displayed) then try and delete your emails

You should be able to. I don't see why not. Just make sure that the attachment is actually attached and that your actually sending it to the right email. I've made that mistake before. Hope that helps =)

I hate this new thing yahoo has. Ad's taking up 1/4 of the screen and searching emails to push ad's to you.
If the advertisers do pay for each click from those ad's I would suggest everyone click away. They make get the idea they are not wanted in our email.

Almost no messages are simply lost in transit. If you haven't received a message you were expecting, there's usually another cause.
First, check with the sender to make sure that they actually sent the message and aren't having problems with their mail server. If that's not the problem, it's possible one of the following occurred:
The message was not addressed properly.
The sender might not have your correct email address. Or, sometimes people make typos in email addresses, but the "incorrect" address just turns out to be someone else's correct email address. If this happened, the message intended for you could have been received by someone else.
If you're an international Yahoo! Mail user, the sender might have used the standard yahoo.com domain instead of your appropriate address (e.g., yahoo.co.uk or yahoo.fr).

The old way to delete your Yahoo! account is that you just sign out your Yahoo! account and wait for 4 months, and then the account will be deleted by the Yahoo! team automatically. My yahoo email is messed up. I keep getting error message saying no XML in the response. How can i fix this?
I reinstalled the yahoo toolbar. I pay for premium Yahoo. I am frustrated that i cannot reply to any emails. I can see them, though the loading time is terrible. I have highspeed premium and that is working fine...HELP!
